Kayla's Life

Mykayla Ink was inspired by "MY"  little girl name Kayla, who was born with Idiopathic Epilepsy and Autism. At 14 years old, she had the mental capacity of a 6-month-old. The challenges of limited paid time off and not qualifying for FMLA while caring for a special needs child led to significant mental stress, making it hard to fully engage in life. After Kayla's passing at 14, Mykayla Ink was established to tackle the difficulties of achieving financial stability as a parent.

Our mission honors her memory and drives my commitment persevere! Statistics indicate that many families with special needs children struggle to access FMLA benefits due to employment criteria and limitations on paid time off.

According to the Department of Labor in 2018, only % of workers in the U.S. qualified for FMLA, underscoring the challenges in accessing support. We provide services like Grace Transportation and weekly virtual support through Faith Speaks to assist those in need. If you're uncertain about FML benefits in your state, don hesitate to reach out for help!
